Did I fkng stutter
This dude rolls in playing like it’s story time and transparency hour but so far it’s fkng crickets.

I wouldn’t need to answer those questions ever cause if I ran one say with Danny I’d make sure we don’t pay any AceHole markup finder fee or any of that BS
It would be straight up we paid 2$ here are 4.50 chips across the board no Ken pricing scam assfuk prices.

Seriously Ken and a few others over there can go fuk themselves with D Mulvenwys dildo. They can all eat shit with their tiger scams and special trades to fuk people out of leaded sets. But hey if they fall for it I guess they deserve it.

The tiger HS chips might be the worst ones.

Besides milling for labels they are trash.

Why dangle the carrot? If you’ve got something interesting to say that hasn’t already been said, why not just shout it out?

Truth is, NAGBs just aren’t all that interesting to some of us. If they truly were all that, you wouldn’t see their creators trying to trade them for REAL CHIPS now would we?

With all due respect Dave.
Not necessarily true, when you have an excess of one supply you trade for others.

There’s not enough excess turds in anyone’s supply worth trading anything of quality for.
Lots of folks fall for the hype and the holders of excess turds realize this.

I’d say to anyone that was considering making a poor decision like trading their quality leaded sets for a bunch of someone’s excess turds, not to do it.
It doesn’t matter how pretty or colorful a turd is, underneath of it all, it’s still just a turd.

Or at least ask the turd trader if you can trade the newly acquired turds back once one realizes they just got themselves a bunch of someone else’s excess turds.

Edit…I’m hoping I used the word “turd” enough that it sinks into the heads of people considering making a decision they’ll probably end up regreting.
Remember, if it’s real bright and shiny, light weight and flaky, hyped up and way too pricey………it’s most likely a turd.

What in the absolute fuck did I just walk into

Y’all dick hoes didn’t even ask the right question!!!

@BGinGA - Question: How much money do I need to do my own NAGB. Serious question.

I already have the crew I’m gonna involve in the process, I just need to know how much money is needed upfront.

Speculation is that per chip cost is approx $2. 89 different TP chips made. If there were just 5,000 of each chip made (50 total sets of 1 rack each) you'd be at $890,000. Naturally more of certain chips need to be produced like $1's & $5's but I think this is a good starting point.

"People aren't accepting of change". What has changed? Not much. Considering that there are some that exercise an ability to have an "in" that the general public doesn't have, then exploiting that, has been around forever. No explanation of what occurred, how it occurred or who was involved is really necessary (for me). I've said what I said on this forum many times. These incidents being discussed, I've never seen happen on ChipTalk. And that is where I'll leave it.

Kinda reminds me of one of my dad's favorite jokes...

A man stopped by his buddies shop on the way home one day... it happened to be a sex toy shop. The man said "I need to run out real quick, would you mind covering the store for a half hour?" The man said "dude, I have absolutely no idea about this stuff" his buddy said "don't worry it sells itself!"

So the first lady came in and said "I want that vibrating one right there!" The man replied "ma'am that is $75!" NO problem.and slides her card...

The next one walks in and says "I want that Doble headed silicone one up there!" The man replied "ma'am that's $150!" NO problem and slides her card...

The third lady walks in and says "I want that BIG BLACK one sitting on the counter there!" The man replies "ma'am I don't think you can afford that one, it's $350!" The lady says "excuse me? I said I wanted it and I don't care what the price is!" Slide her card and out the door she went!

The friend comes back and says "how's business" the man replies "amazing dude, I sold my thermos for $350!"

Supply and demand! Sure the lady should have realized it was a thermos and could have got her own for $20 at Walmart... but at the time it was exactly what she was looking for and willing to pay the asking price. Did she get taken advantage of?

Everyone that buys NAGB chips is well aware of the situation and the mark up, part of the game.

Does anyone really think the ChipRoom is bringing chips to the community at "his cost"... absolutely NOT! Are we all thankful that he does it? I think so... the man has made millions likely off chip sales over the years. Don't like it, get whatever license he has to buy these casinos out, drive all over God's green earth. Sort, and sell however you see fit... even at cost if you think that will make you closer to the lord.

Mostly I just wanted to share my dad's joke because I have the maturity level of a 14 year old. I'm my head... somehow the joke fit in there as a good example...

Love the joke, hilarious.

I think until recently, excluding the auctions, there has always been a clear distinction between what TCR does and what the purveyor’s of NAGBs do.

I think the clearest difference is that anyone with a computer, some money to burn and a little tech savvy has the same opportunity to get their hands on the same things as everyone else.

No favortism, no exploitation, no favors to some and not others and much much more of a transparent process by TCR than the NAGB purveyor’s.

Getting to see a little of the behind the scenes of a NAGB was just much of a turn off to me. It’s mostly a bunch of big heads and inflated egos looking at the chance to cash in on many of the less connected and less informed.

I personally was most turned off by not being able to have two of my closest chipping friends allowed to be brought into the group.
It’s not that it couldn’t have happened, it’s just that one person ultimately said no just because they could.

As a person who doesn’t blow with the wind and puts his money where his mouth is, I swore off at that moment ever owning or being involved with NAGBs again. Spine still intact and never for sale.

Just like all for profit businesses.
.... And some non-profit businesses.
.... And all colleges/universities
..... And .... ok, I'm going so myself here.
If you love the chips, go ahead and embrace them. Why let what I say upset you so much?
I’m only telling people of my personal experience and thoughts. If colorful less than 9 gram overpriced wafers are your thing, get on the bandwagon and talk them up.
Maybe they’ll throw you a beginners set at cost and privately you can tell folks how warped, flaky and over priced they are.

It’s funny sometimes what people say privately but won’t ever say in public.
Where is all this explanation we were going to hear about from @BGinGA?

Crickets!

I didn’t comment at first with Dave’s mysterious appearance, but is this not to an exact “T” what he did many years about the Stars?? Crickets and more crickets after he promised to tell all.

The other thing I take issue with is Dave professing nobody was in on the Star buy to profit. I try to get myself to think how he can say such things with even remotely a straight face. As soon as the kitty jumped out of the bag, there were the chosen ones lined up to fleece those that couldn’t wait to throw piles of money at them.

And in terms of the Stars and the profit thing, absolutely ANY TIME someone would even hint at another NAGB being in the works, Dave was there to say it was absolutely NOT possible that it could be pulled off again. How many times has that been proven wrong? Dave is a smart guy, and I think he darn well knew it could be pulled off countless times, as has been shown, but if more people realized that, it would grossly drop the price of the Stars. So, what was the real motive of trying to brainwash the “community” into thinking the buys couldn’t be pulled off? Profit???
