Lol guys you’ll be so much happier if you let go of things.

I guess label me naïve then. A guy got chips that no one else could and sold them to people at a price they’re willing to pay. And if John says something, I listen. Call it naïve, but there’s a group of people whose words I trust - and this will shock you - I think they trust me. This thread is….something.

I guess I can honestly answer this thread because I was in this situation.

We had an ex floor boss in the Midwest who opened all the local casinos for an ownership group. Could get orders in with the snap of a finger, and had 10+ full Paulson samples in his closet at home. Not only that, he was willing to front the $ for the full purchase (no clue why) and just wanted chippers help with designs and order numbers since he had no clue what he was doing. The people involved at this early stage was just him, myself, and one chipper (a vendor on PCF).

We were excited as it looked like we had a semi legit “in” and would be able to avoid most coon pitfalls. In conversation and planning, we landed on attempting to get a small order through first - selling only privately to people, at whatever amount above cost would cover all of our personal sets. Anyone that publicly shared the chips or resold them would be removed from future available sets.

So our actual planned goal was to keep everything private and only provide brand new Paulson direct chips to known people we like and trust - specifically because of how adults act about clay disks. There’s not a damn thing Ken or Jeep could’ve done to assuage the masses. Labeling their actions similar to crack dealers is again.....something.

I might be naïve, but for anyone who is an involved long term chipper to question “why” John would labor over chip design is either being disingenuous, has their own personal motivation/prerogative, or is simply oblivious.

Can someone point me to a super active thread where people are posting on an interesting topic that is positive?

No clue what your post is going on and on and on about.

You can’t pick both ways. You believe John, but it’s naive to believe what we’re told….by John? Lmao, you guys didn’t like the circle jerk comments because “rude”, so instead I go with extreme cognitive dissonance.

Somehow you can sit by and watch people you like question the validity of Johns answers - with 0 response to them - yet call me out? At this point it’s either dissonance or purposefully being obtuse and borderline moronic.

And yes, as you like to point out as often as possible, people had to wait for chips from me. Twice! (Was it 3 times? Idk maybe it was).

I’ve bought and sold hundreds of thousands of chips in less than 5 years. 3 times people waited while life took precedence. Noones ever not received, Noones ever been shortchanged, Noones ever been left holding a stick. I’ve brought at least 4 large finds to forum public or privately with no personal gain. I have one of the largest custom sample collections worked on over years and host an annual meetup that has joined the other top meetups. And so on and so on and so on. I don’t really care about my past, no, but if you want to cover it - make sure you cover it all. Again, my actions match my words. I don’t care much about chips, I’m not a “chipper”. But I enjoy poker and I enjoy our community.

I’m 100% fine with talking about the past. I’m cool with mine, my actions follow my words. Y’all…..not so much. And there’s receipts for days to prove it. Hell there's 100 different comments here from your buddies just in the last however long filled with double speak and them countering their own previous comments over and over.
I was saying I can understand why some might question. If you want to take everything at face value, then more power to you. I’m glad you’re so trusting. And naive.

I’ve got an island to sell you that’s filled with NAGB chips.

There are just way too many Tiger chips for me to wrap my head around. Now we have people selling VIP2 $25s, or looking to buy VIP1 $1s. TOO MUCH! What are there, four different Tiger cash sets? Or is there a hotstamp one too, so five?

I dunno. You name a casino, I can probably picture their $1 chip. That’s branding to me. But with 4+ $1 Tiger chips, I can’t keep up.

The number floated to a reliable source from the horses ass, I mean mouth was over 150,000.

That was either braggadocios or a lie. I didn’t hear it so I can’t say for sure. But hurry they’re rare. 😂😂😂😮‍💨

Even I couldn’t tell you which is VIP 1 or 2 lol

Divided by 89(!!!) different designs, that averages out to ~1700 per, which isn’t really all that many. Given that there were probably a metric shit-ton of $1s and $5s made, it does stand to reason that there are some designs that are very rare, with only a couple/few racks produced. We just have little/no idea which ones those are. It seemed like one of the alternate $500s was one of those, otherwise I’d guess fracs and super high denoms. But nobody knows for sure besides KK.

89 Separate chip designs?? Is that right??

Hmm. Well when you put it that way, I guess that’s a pretty smart way to sell 150k chips.
I still don’t like it, but it makes sense from that angle.

My complaint is kind of a selfish one. But when I see somebody’s relabel set, I like to look at the chips and know what they were. I guess the RPC set got a little out of line with multiple sets. But these tigers just said hold my beer. Anyway I just saw a relable set on the other site and it had multiple chips I’d never seen before. I don’t like that - it makes me feel dumb. I’d rather know what chips I’m looking at.

I’m still curious if the 89 separate chips thing is correct! What it tells me is that there really is no con needed at Angel. As no real casino would order 89 different chips. Most with inlays and dollar signs.

It is. 88 if you don’t count the dealer button chip.

having spent plenty of time in the streets of the chip guide ive seen casinos with at least that many if not more. tp could have done way more if they wanted to. spotted thc roulletes, baccarat chips, sports book chips, free play chips, GO chips, CNY chips, blackjack / roulette tournament chips. One is only limited by their imagination.....

Cash Chips. And I get over the years maybe they would accumulate that many and many more. But upon a modern opening I'd think not. Even if you included roulettes. Mandalay Bay (Opened 1999) Cash Chips 17 $1-$25,000 (excluding LE's).

El Cortez, Opened 1941 Chip Guide has 66 examples of table chips (Excluding LE's) That's 83 years worth. Ill give you the other 22 chips as they may have missed the guide.

Tiger Palace isn't a real casino open for 25 years.

Yah you might see 90 different LE $5s at the Tropicana over 20 years
Not 20 mins of grift

He should have made some oversize inlay RHC's, I'd give credit for any risk taking there. Pretty THC's, NO CREDIT FOR RISK.
