So looks like we are at a little over 4,500 chips total and need to get to 10,000. We need to get some more people!

I hope that when you all click on that spreadsheet it doesn't still say 4500. It should be live and when I click on it, it says 7357. I am not sure how accurate that number is. There are a few in there where I went with the low #, for example, when someone says I'll be in for 500-1000 chips I put 500 into the spreadsheet. With that said, there are a few people that are likely still working on art & it looks like we might be a bit short of 10k. It might not hurt to extend this a couple weeks.

Feel free to PM me & let me know if you are ready to go and your final #'s.

I will reach out to everyone else that has indicated interest as we get closer to the final Due date and make a decision as to whether we just go ahead and place the order or extend it a few weeks.

This WILL happen

Weird. It’s updated now but a bit ago when I looked it wasn’t. All good though.

My designer should be done hopefully mid April. It'll be at least 1000 chips. I didn't put my order on the sheet cuz the guy who they are for hasn't confirmed their breakdown yet. They wanna see the design first. I doubt they'll flake but as soon as I know fer sure, I'll add to the spreadsheet.

Came across a good video of MrRossKeys. A good example of the textured labels and how the lighting affects them.
While it is true that in the right lighting conditions the textured labels can become difficult to read or look reflective, this video is not at all representative of what you are going to see at the poker table. It is fairly difficult to get the reflective effect under normal lighting conditions.

He is shining a bright light from about 12 inches away from the chips which make the chips look terrible. If you wanted to try and do an "opposite of advertising" for these chips you would do exactly what he did.

Both textured and matte look great. Certainly different, but both look fantastic.

100%. After watching that video I tried getting the same effect with my Playboy set and could not make it happen. I’ve never had one issue with any type of glare. It’s never even crossed my mind until it was brought up in this thread. Like Nanook said, they’re both fine. I just personally would never do matte.

Reflection aside, I like matte for the brighter colors. However, my design has a sunset photo background with multiple colors. I think it would be much less dramatic a difference between textured and matte if the label has larger areas of flat color.

Sooooooo when is the order being placed??
I just changed the OP to read open until 4/16/2024

I am well aware that for every decision that gets made making one member happy, it will make another unhappy. With that said, I am not making decisions like this lightly, but we are only @7357 chips on the spreadsheet and some of those numbers do not exist at this time because the art is not ready.

Lets give this another couple weeks and hopefully by then some of the art is done and maybe we pick up another order or two to get us over the 10k chip count.
