Is the city, state of a casino a key factor as to the chips value?

I was sceptical from the get go. Once I asked some reasonable questions, I was talked down to because I was not a "qualified bidder"! Don't mind that he lets people proxy which defeats the purpose... He also only accepts Zelle or Cheque. Which is just a giant F U to anyone outside of the US. I wouldn't send someone a few grand by cheque anyway, but LOL!

I received tracking yesterday with $650 insurance so we'll see. Scheduled to be delivered today but I have to sign for it which I won't be home :cautious:

I say Poppin with tongue in cheek as this guy is in the us and I’m sure doesn’t want to see the inside of a cell at the jail. Just that it looks like he really over complicated things and is some exception to the rules over at Pcf.
I will say this because people have asked “do you miss PCF”? I miss some convos with some of the folks there but you’re here also if we’re friends, Nice to see there’s “loyalists” there but I don’t miss the toxicity and the wheeling dealing methods of the place and its admin who screams that he doesn’t make a dime off anyone and has some kind of control issue. So I guess I point at the weirdness of this guy and his smarmy auction practices but it can be the norm there I suppose if your having to cut little Tommy in on your deal all the time.

So, I'm sitting here reading about this and I'm was kind of mind blown first of all to see those types of chips popping up and if those chips were sold years ago in sets etc. then why hold on until now to finally let go of more? To me, it makes sense I guess in a way, but not 100%.

The one thing that makes sense to me at the moment is knowing that you would be able to get more for those types of chips in today's market. I have no idea how much they were originally sold for and what site that was on. Putting them on our own site as an auction is a bit iffy, considering you can put them on the orange wall and get tons more exposure, especially if it was going to include everyone on the forum. Also, I thought it was thoughtful to only have qualified bidders, but I know so many people that are looking for those chips and they 1000000% got excluded from those auctions because they were "qualified".

I did also think it was kind of iffy not remembering or having the original quantities somewhere for notes. I've got some good notes on my computer of different hoards etc seen online. I also think that if you come across a large number of chips and you want to sell them, then you need to have that inventory sheet or something somewhere to keep track of what you've sold, what you had and what's still available.

Overall to answer the question, "Do you think that location of the casino affects the value of the chip?"

In different ways it does. Small town Nevada, those places that had really small casinos, of course the chips are going to be more expensive because they are hardly seen, they're rare and so much more. Places that are larger of course will have more chips in quantity and essentially makes the chips worth less due to the supply.

It'll always come down to a game of supply and demand to me. The chips that are more in demand with little supply will be worth more, the chips that are out there with little demand will be worth less. It's different for "rare" chips because they aren't out there in quantity, but you never know when they can be out there in quantity. So, with that in mind it's hard to put a price on so many things. There's just so much to consider etc.

So the shipping is absolutely awful, I'd be ashamed to send this for $25
(Box was pre used with an old label peeled off)

I was looking at it thinking it’s crazy people are paying $600 for a barrel…

So he asked that I leave feedback.... I assume on his vendor account? I'm wondering if I should post my honest opinion or say nothing and not stir the pot

Dilemma, If you're unhappy about the packaging condition, I would be honest. If you're happy about the chips, I would also be honest. People deserve to know and perhaps he'll take the feedback and improve packaging in the future.

p.s. Cool chips !

The chips I am happy about for the price I paid ... however they were sold to me as mint, and probably were, before they were shipped

Brie, I think you know me good enough by now to know my opinion, but I strongly encourage you to be truthful. You might get piled on, as I always do when I speak truth, but you will be benefiting the silent majority that would love to know. There have been MANY times when I wished I would have known what others were too afraid to post.
