And if you don't have integrity, you can always fake it.
Plenty of fake integrity already out there to go around. I’m not sure what’s worse, dealing with a known liar or dealing with a liar who pretends to not be lying?
If someone has to try and convince me they’ve got integrity because their actions leave questions in my mind otherwise, they are in fact worse people to deal with in my opinion.

And for sure the DB's stand together. As much as I love chipping and all the great chips I have I'm glad I'm mostly in the same boat you are., happy with what I have. If you're a dealer I understand you're in it to make money and that's fine. If you have a chipping website that you're making money from, that's cool to, its cool to make money from a venture and its ok if people know it.
This site is up for chippers and collectors, its free, there's no hidden agenda. If you want to sell stuff here there's a place for that too, also free, no determination by me or anyone else whether your a dealer or making profit and some kind of random vendor fee. I find it odd that there is so much buzz about me between the site owners. One site owner this morning told me I was simply sore and left PCF because I was cut out of a deal, that is laughable, he said that someone in a group buy from Paulson, you know, they call it NAGB, where you lie to Paulson to get chips made, that I called Paulson to bust them out because I was "jealous". I wonder does this nonsense go on in other hobbies?
If this site interferes with your profit making schemes because its free, well, that's on you. I'm a collector, not a dealer. I've built some nice sets and yes, I have chips for sale, extras, chips that didn't fit the set, chips that came with chips etc. I've even ran across what we now call "hoards", sometimes as controversial as an NAGB when found. In the end, I know this hobby can be expensive, at times very expensive so I took the opportunity from necessity to make it fun and free not realizing that when it interfered with some ones profits the length they would go to in attempts to discredit you, etc. Well that too is on them. There is some great people in this hobby, collectors with wealth's of knowledge in the subject of casinos and casino collectables, there is some great dealers and dealer/collectors also I will never spite their style. The dealers go out and unearth the chips we all have in our collections without them we wouldn't have the chips, like anyone I too may grumble when a price is high, but I don't go to lengths to control or affect them, if the price is too high I simply don't buy, well sometimes I do but that's the free market at work right? ok a lot of times I do!! (chipping sickness).
One thing I know for sure, and maybe it is a fault maybe its not, when I see a wrong done to someone I don't see a problem exposing it. People signing up here under assumed identities to lift images while threatening others that do... Come on now.. Folks going out of their way to make others look bad simply because they have determined that for some reason they don't "Like Them". The beauty of social media. Folks making outlandish accusations about others in some feeble attempt to "keep them away", is that looking out for fellow hobbyists? I guess all I can do is chuckle at the wide variety of people in the world and how they act and determine whether to interact or not. Calling out dishonesty is now "bringing negativity", outing a liar is now "name calling" doxxing the personal information of people is somehow ok.. one user at a site continues to do this to me, exposing information on where he believes I work and live, where my children live attaching it with their personal views of me. Is that sane?
I pledge, that will NEVER be tolerated here. truth is truth, speak freely, it's encouraged. But even here there is a line and silent deletion is a tool that will be used. I put up this forum "Off Topic" for general social chat not chipping, the rest of the site is clearly marked and should be adhered to. if you want to come in off topic and say you think Dan's an asshole, or Mitches prices are to high or that you hate coconut crème pie that's all good, you have to live with it when you type it. But some things like lies or unproven reputation bashing will not be tolerated. All the crap at the chip board after Kaplan messed with Oscar and others sparked my ire and many others too so I spoke up, like I usually do loudly and frequently, (usually too much) the whole thing was definitely a wreck and as usual both sides chimed in. When the owner of that forum decided he was done with facts that were uncomfortable deflected and ended the convo, ending it with his last words attempting to discredit me and others he perceives competition or some kind of threat, One user, I assume from P.C.F. as the email said "message from P.C.F.", actually sent me an email with a link to a disorderly conduct ticket I got years ago and said where there is smoke there is fire. I'm not sure what the point of that was other that to threaten to post it or something if I didn't shut up, I thought well that's a bit strange, but people will be people.
The helpful Insight part
Be good to people, calling out dishonesty in a hobby isn't a bad thing, it isn't bringing negativity, it's letting people know who their dealing with. Making crap up or doing something simply because you don't like someone, that's BS. I'm sure some here remember the Poppin92 fiasco where a member at P.C.F. embedded himself into the community and once trusted fleeced members, myself included, out of over $20,000.00, and worse yet returned and tried to do it again. Other attempts were made as well. We need to know who we are dealing with. Character is important. The reason for verified user status here is for a layer of protection against scams like this. Protected payment options should be used. This isn't eBay where, mostly, your protected to some degree for that 15% fee. I'll buy from someone who's been disorderly or a rabblerouser, but if your dishonest or steal things I have to say so long.
Anyway, lets chip, lets have all the fun chipping brings, and lets be honest and honorable. If you read this far, grab a coffee and relax! LOL!

Great post and you put your heart and soul into everything you do. I do admire that quality. It's obvious you try and care so much in your goals and mission. However (my opinion) sit back back, relax, chill and enjoy your friends, family, success, accomplishments chips and fruits of your labor etc. You can take care of all your business and make your points without killing yourself with so much work and effort and extreme passion! Discard the cheats and the dishonest but try to come together and make peace with those that have potential. Very few perfect people exist if that's all you want in your circle you will have very few people in it. Relax and enjoy and try not to get so upset where it takes away your joy!
The whole thing is unfortunate. Spragg even came after me the other day trying to see if I really had donated items to the club as I stated. Another attempt to discredit but i simply posted the receipts to his face. They are clearly trying to clean house of any person with a strong voice and It only gets worse when the echo chamber chimes in with blind support. I hope someday they realize you are just passionate and only want the best for the club. But to be honest the CCA is just a smaller and older version of any of the other poker website groups and their members. Build your site up and turn it into a force. I have no doubt it can happen.

I don't expect any one or anything to be perfect, those that expect perfection are usually disappointed a lot! But you are right, when I believe in something I pour in 100%, that sometimes comes with unexpected surprises, like people wondering what your motives are for working hard when they do not. It's a shame this world has evolved into questioning good deeds and dedication or that the ones who coast through on others coat tails stir discontent for people trying to simply help.
I am still of the old school, trust but verify. I would never look a gift horse in the mouth. Change is hard to accept for a lot of older set in their ways folks, I get that. But sometimes we resist change for the masses to please the few. PokerChipping is on the grow and if we dont educate and offer mentoring to the younger hobbyists we will only have split factions like we do now. I love the conversations that happen here between the Sets and Singles folks, learning from each other, sharing and really trying to understand each others styles and why they collect what they do. Its awesome! I am happy to be first to the table to provide that venue instead of throwing up our arms saying "It'll never work" I see that other sites have finally realized that that is the way forward and begun to attempt the same style.

What I also find interesting is that the current "negativity" (to use a cb phrase) is unlike past discussions where people could have an honest disagreement. And maybe that is good. The future of the MOGH...we can have opinions. Hoards should be announced on a private discussion board...have at it. Do Tina's chips help or hurt the hobby? we can all weigh in and discuss. Before my time, but there was a big discussion about slabbing. Bill Borland, friend or foe...again before my time. At some point I would like us to return to discussions/debates about chips.
