I like the new fourm. I think it’s a little chaotic. I liked that PCF was easy to navigate and not cluttered. I feel like this site has a lot going on and is pretty tough to navigate. I’d remove the backgrounds on each section and try and clean it up like PCF. Also make it easier to navigate to the home page. PCF would let you click the logo and go back to home and that’s a feature I would like to see implemented here.

While we pick up a few users a day from both the sets and singles collectors it's not the biggest forum site. I tried to make buy/sell a secondary focus, while at That Other Place it seems its whole focus resides in the classifieds. I get that there needs to be balance but I'd rather be more chipping oriented and not focus so much on closed up Indiana casino RHC's and 5-10x flips on light weight Paulsons along with the chronic flip and flip discussion. I'm not competing with PokerChipper, at least not directly and intentionally. I explained that to do the chipping business I needed a place that I can keep record and history of my sales vs. paying eBay 15% or some other site more and not give someone control of the data with a simple ban because he doesn't like me that day which is exactly what happened!

As I've said here before I am not trying to monetize this board either, I'm not bending people over for a "cut of the action" then having the audacity to say the things like "I don't make any money from That Other Place" like he does, it would seem to me looking at the way the site works and costs to host he is full of complete shit.

As with every online forum board or BBS there will always be those that don't "like" certain people for one reason or another so I accept that, maybe some person or people did complain about something that I said, but that's life. I was initially keyboard warrior attacked simply for starting this page when I required some edge conditioning clients and chip buyers to complete their transactions here. That's fine, you don't have to hang here but you have to complete your sale with me here. After the first few of those is when the ban hammer dropped and its fine, everyone who need services or wants to look at whats for sale knew where to find me either via text or this site. He truly hasn't affected me or my services.

I'm having fun developing this site, it has a different vision, there's no special hidden rooms for exclusionary buys for flipping, no divisive politics section for folks to fight in and most of all there's no moderator driven speech control or "god mode" admin pushing folks around or extorting them for money. 300 members in just a few months speaks volumes. The short note in the About us section explains most of this but thought I'd say it again as there's been a lot of texts and messages asking where I've been which has been motivational.

Yeah you are definitely missed on PCF. I just wish people on there knew about this site because I’m active on both. I like this one because I don’t have to worry about getting banned or anything for saying I disagree with moderation or posting a link to another site like HPF. I posted a picture from HPF last night on PCF showing his update on the typhoon and censored literally everything that could lead another member to that site to not get banned. It’s just sad because I’ve known there were other sites and people were getting chips from them. But due to the rules on PCF I never knew about them til a few days ago. I like that the focus will be on chipping and not being a marketplace. We can still transact here and I think that the classifieds will be more like a classifieds where you post stuff you want to sell. But it won’t feel like a fucking competitive event bloodbath like it does over there. I’ve missed some good chips on there by actual seconds before which is annoying af. Plus the auctions sections is where all the best stuff goes and that’s annoying because I’m not loaded and don’t wipe my ass with $100’s like some of those folks seem to do. I really like what you’re doing over here Danny and will be happy to assist you as well with development. My bum ass just sits around all day since I don’t have a job rn so it would pass the time nicely.

Thanks for the kind words buddy. Feel free to bring any suggestions. I’ll usually ablige when it makes sense. I’ve had a couple suggestions to make things look like the other site and I refuse to do that. Closest you’ll get is day mode. Through your user settings you can make things look and act differently and I’ve been coding more and more individual options for everyone so they can make it look and feel a little individual. Other things and the basics can and will keep PC.C individuality.
 
I can say that to return the favor the system as you probably noticed does sensor and replaces certain word and letter combos but I don’t care if anyone talks about that orange place. Or HPF. I would never have the audacity to ban someone for such a childish reason as mentioning or showing a screenshot of another web site. That’s just Mickey Mouse behavior for children not adults.

Yeah I’ve noticed it turns it into That Other Place. I personally find it funny because we all know what the place is. Only thing I’d say is that it did change the name of the link you had posted and I wasn’t able to follow the link even after I copy pasted and changed the name to the right one. Other than that you’ve done a solid job over here. Nice to have a place we can talk about the chip world and not get things deleted. I’ve been real curious about the NAGB stuff and knew that a lot was wiped when it all went down and then Travis made chipdonkeys. I’ll be active on both sites, but I’m hoping this one goes as well at chipdonkeys does and continues to have success. In a year or 2 I could see this place being pretty lively especially since it’s ad free and I don’t have to pay for a special tier to get no ads. Even though I’ll prolly pay for a supporting membership on here just to support. Whereas I pay on PCF to get no ads and support.
 
I was just going to start a thread on this, I have to say the new look is too busy and hard to read the forum catagories, etc.. I hope you go back to the simpler look. thanks,

Do you look on a pc or phone?
 
I mean once you enter a forum the background is gone. The images behind the categories relate directly to the subject.

I've had a couple people say that they don't care for the backgrounds and some like them, but once in the category there is no background images. trying to look individual and not like similar sites.
