And he served a one week ban and wrote an open letter apology. Was someone supposed to force him to sell his chips? Should he serve a lifetime ban? Is there reason to believe he prospered by canceling his auction? I'm not defending him at all just curious

not sayin that.... When I pulled an auction because the thread crapping was so brutal that you couldn't decipher the thread it was 30 days. the point is, there, it depends who you are is the basis of the "punishment" severity. Some may see that as preferential treatment vs. policy defining the equal result.

Thread Crapping. Offering to sell Diamond Jacks $1's for $750/rack in some douche noodles Wanted Ad. He canceled that Wanted Ad and made a new one, so I joined him in that one too. Tried pointing out that "someone he knows" is selling DJ $500's for $250/barrel on eBay so my offer wasn't too ridiculous.
