I'm primarily a singles collector. I store most of my lower end chips in 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 cardboard flips. My higher end chips go in foam-ring airtites. But in recent years I've begun collecting/assembling barrels. I keep the barrels in coinsafe, square medallion tubes. My question is how should the tubes be stored? Should I store them vertically or horizontally? Also because of wear and use some barrels don't fit tightly in the tubes, is it ok to pad the ends to eliminate rattling?

My flips and airtites are stored in rows in boxes. I used to use 3 ring binders, but they sag and distort over time.

So, any opinions?

Thanx.

Feels like Vertical should be the best for tubes. These are the very heavy duty ones sort of a rounded square shape?
